Lazybrook dog walking that knows your block by name.
Shaggy Chic has been walking Lazybrook dogs since 2010. We know tucked-away ranch streets, mature trees, and a true neighbors-know-neighbors feel, and we walk the loop streets off West 18th, swing past Lazybrook Park, and time the long walks for the cool side of the morning. Your dog gets a consistent, trained team, GPS-tracked routes, and a photo report after every walk, not a stranger from a marketplace.

In Lazybrook
Lazybrook's loop streets are low-traffic and well-shaded, which makes them ideal for dogs who need a calm, predictable walk. We time the longer routes for the cool side of the morning — in summer that means early, and we're used to it. Lazybrook Park is a regular stop, and the loop streets themselves give us enough variety to keep most dogs engaged without going far.

Lazybrook · Frequently asked
What Lazybrook dog owners ask about walks.
Do you walk dogs throughout all of Lazybrook?
Yes — Lazybrook is one of our core neighborhoods. We've been walking dogs here since 2010 and we know the streets, the shade, and the good sniff spots. We start every new client with a no-cost meet & greet so your dog can meet the actual person doing the walks, not a rotating stranger.
What does a Shaggy Chic walk actually look like?
Every walk is GPS-tracked start to finish. At the end you get a full report: a note on how your dog did, how far they went, and at least one photo. We walk on consistent routes so your dog knows what to expect, and we use Fear Free handling — no rushing, no yanking, no stress. It's 30 real minutes, not 12 minutes of dog and 18 of driving.
How long are the walks, and what do they cost?
Our standard walk is 30 minutes at $35. We also do 60-minute walks for dogs that need more. Pricing and availability are confirmed at your free meet & greet — there are no hidden platform fees.
Are your walkers trained and insured?
Every walker on our team is a W-2 employee — background-checked, in-person trained, and covered under our $2M business liability policy. Owner Kristen Parkhurst is a Fear Free Certified Professional and a Certified Professional Pet Sitter. You're not getting a 1099 gig worker from an app.
What time do you typically walk Lazybrook dogs in the summer?
As early as we can get there. Lazybrook's loop streets are well-shaded, but in July and August we're aiming for the 6–8am window before the pavement heats up. If your dog's schedule requires a midday walk, we'll keep it shorter and stick to the shadiest route. Timing is confirmed at the meet & greet.
