About Shaggy Chic

Shaggy Chic Pet Services has been serving Houston's pets since 2010. Our small team boasts experience in veterinary clinics, dog rescue volunteer work, and over a decade of dog grooming. We believe in providing quality, individualized care for each household and are dedicated to making our community's pets as happy and healthy as possible.

The Role: Pet Care Provider

This is a part-time, field-based role serving the Greater Houston area. The work requires traveling to multiple client locations rather than reporting to a single site. You will be responsible for day-to-day pet care tasks, including feeding, exercise, hygienic grooming, and administering medications. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for pets and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.

Qualifications

  • Experience and application of understanding dog behavior
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of medicine related to pet care
  • Excellent ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Passion for animals and commitment to their well-being
  • Previous experience in a related field is a plus
  • Certifications from reputable organizations heavily considered

Compensation & Growth

  • Paid hands-on working interviews and training at minimum wage
  • Starting base pay equivalent to $15/hour plus tips
  • Weekly vehicle credit based on workload and tenure
  • After 90-day probationary period, demonstrated application of training may lead to tiered raise eligibility based on milestones, certifications and performance
  • Daily bonus for working major holidays
  • Yearly bonuses
